Question TAIWAN: Are there any good flying clubs?

Hi, does anyone know of any good flying clubs in Taiwan, preferably close to Taipei as, after passing PPL, I'd like to be able to build hours here. If anyone has any useful information that would be great. Thanks.

I seem to recall that there's no GA in Taiwan per say, i.e. there's no regs (CAA) for it, only RPT regs exist. Don't quote me, it's been a long time since I lived there. Good luck!!

It must have been quite a while since as far as I know the regs were relaxed as a result of the normalisation of relations between the ROC and the PRC. I think there is a flight school somewhere in the south and one in the east but its difficult to tell since... Well everything is in Chinese.

Anyway, thanks for your help, I'll keep trying. I'd like to work for Eva someday.

Hello Guys,

Do you know if I can fly in Taiwan with an EASA PPL license?

Thank you!

There are no private flying in Taiwan.

Only one flight school exist which is in Taitung which only caters to cadet training.

Our training manager just went to the States to build time. As ETOPS777 said, there is not any private GA flying like most other countries. There is corporate, charter, and some GA utility flying but it is all highly regulated.
