With the speed, efficiency, dedication, honesty, and sincerity of both the DGCA, and Government, I can aver with assurance that operations will commence on the 30th or 31st of February, 2014

One must remember that in the eyes of the Indian Gvernment and DGCA everyone is equal... it's just that there are some that are more equal than other$$$$$.

Tis pity tis true.

this is a non-starter from the beginning. its surprising that Tony simply does not understand the Indian mind set and culture.

why would anyone in India, politician or civil servant, want the country to do well and keep its people happy ?? no Indian can stand to see another succeed.

unless of course, he has some dessert to offer. then too, he will eventually be taken to the cleaners.

Not enough grease in the slimey hands of the dedicated civil servants elected and or appointed to best serve their constituency?

Sad but probably true. TF yet again tries to walk on water blinded by his team
of Arrogance.

I know someone who claims to know TF as a very close friend, however after being booted out of umpteen airlines still is very unfortunate to not be able to get into any of the AA seats. he he he.

Air Asia will get the NOC and eventually get off the ground. But by then the INR would have stabilised at a very unfavourable rate , there will be a possible currency crisis and the economy will also be in a very dangerous state as well. When you combine that along with the management personnel of Air Asia, where not a single one of them is from an airline background, it's a recipe for disaster. Make no mistake the airline will be run by Tony , Mittu and his team are front men and women who will pose as young , ambitious go getters. They really won't have a hand and a clue in running the show and pretty soon will leave or get the boot when they fail to deliver. For with his present business plan they really will not last long in India. They won't be able to compete with the Indigo / Spice Jet combine. TF has been successful in Malaysia and that too with Air Asia. All the other franchises are starting to fall apart beginning with Air Asia Japan. Mark my words ..

Air Asia India may fail... but it will be do to contributory negligence. I can avid that the majority of the negligence will be borne the Indian government

It will not be the government but pure economics. Tony will try to influence government policy like he did in Malaysia , but he will find the going difficult. And pretty soon , they will exit India. Right now the entire management team at Air Asia are like parrots talking about the lowest fares and changing the way etc , pretty soon they will realize that they can't do it.

The airline has named Vijay Gopalan, who was previously financial controller of Compass Group and an auditor with Ernst & Young, as chief financial officer; former GoAir executive Nadeem Badri Khan as head of IT; and Gajapthy Sampath as head of engineering
