UK RT to Indian RT

Hello,
I just got a rumor that now if you have a uk RT you still need to clear part 1 and 2 for Indian RT. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Serious question... Why is it that Indian pilot's don't obtain licences in India? But instead have bits of a licence from all over the world?

I know there will always be exceptions with people having a licence from overseas... However, reading these forums it seems Indian pilot's deliberately try to avoid taking their own regulators RT examination by piggy backing of another NAA's system.

I have never known another countries pilot's do this to the extent that Indian pilot's do.
