Air asia application process
Just to clear out a few things.
After i submitted the online form on the air asia website, i got the following reply,
" Thank you for applying to AirAsia Berhad.
If your application is successful, you will received an email from us."
Thereafter i received an email from air asia as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for submitting your application for the position of FIRST OFFICER with AirAsia.
Our team will review your application and communicate with you for further information only if you have been short listed.
How to fill both the forms.
Thank you for your interest in joining the AirAsia family.
Kind Regards
Recruitment Team
AirAsia
-----------------------------------------------------------
Anyone has gone different than this,
i heard from some that we need to upload some supporting documents also,
but couldnt find anything there.
Also one thing in the email if u notice the say " How to fill both the forms"
Thats kind of odd to be included there.
Anyone can clear that out please.
Thank you.

Massive turnout at AirAsia interviews
As many as 3,500 came for 100 posts; encouraged, the Malaysian airline will hold interviews for captains and first officers in Bangalore on April 19

Asia’s largest budget carrier, AirAsia, held interviews for cabin crew for its India operations on Saturday, and as many as 3,500 people from across the country turned up for just 100 available positions.
While the huge turnout was good news for the airline, many aspirants ended up being disappointed as they hardly had any time to convince the recruiters. The low-cost airline had booked the hotel from 9 am to 3 pm and several candidates’ interview lasted for just 30 seconds. The registration for the interview started before 9 am, while candidates had started arriving from 7.30 am.
Officials said 100 people had appeared from Mumbai alone and several of them were former Kingfisher airlines crew members.
The AirAsia website mentioned that the interview included five stages-documents, height check, cat walk and skin check, group discussion and personal interview. AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes, whowasinChennaiatthetime, wasnota part of the six-member panel that conducted the proceedings.
“The response was positive. Aspirants in the age group of 20-35, including those from Kingfisher Airlines, came from all over India,” said Bo Lingam, chief operating officer, AirAsia.
Encouraged by the response for cabin crew, the Malaysian airline has decided to hold interviews for the posts of captains and first officers as well, in Bangalore on April 19.
Indian operations, according to Lingam, will start off with a fleet of five Airbus 320s. “For the posts of captains and first officers, applications willbeacceptedtillApril19.Itwillnotbeawalk-in interview,” he said.
Meanwhile, hundreds of aspirants went back disappointed on Saturday.
“They just threw a glance at me and 30 others who were paraded together on the stage. They then told me that I won’t fit in AirAsia uniform,” said Malad-resident Azfar Khoja. When contacted, an AirAsia spokesperson said, “We have certain criteria and we follow a strict procedure. We have collected everybody’s resume and will contact them if they suit any profile in the future.”

This would be the first by a foreign carrier in the Indian aviation sector since the government relaxed rules allowing overseas airlines to take up to 49 per cent stakes in domestic carriers in September 2012.

so the mumbai mirror news article says that from 19 april the interview starts.
The advertisement which Mr. Tony tweeted said that the last date to apply is 19th april.
Will they start the interviews right after that. or is it just a case of bad journalism

With 2 aircraft coming and 4 sets or 8 pilots, that will be 16. 8 captain and 8 FO position. That 8 slots can easily be fill up by pilots from KF.
Your connection have to be super strong to get this, if not, tough luck competing among the 4000 jobless pilots in India.

If Air Asia is applying for a Scheduled Airline Permit then will need to bring in at least 5 aircraft within 1 year from the date of being issued the Permit
If they are applying for a Regional Airline Permit then they only need 1 aircraft to start operation but need to increase it to a minimum of 3 aircraft within 2 years

KFA Brats
Well said, most of them were with IQ 0f two digits and fit only to suck upone who could be of any help, in the process they ruined the younger generationof Pilots and the airline.
Quote:
They should be careful bout hiring too many KF people, all the good ones are already working elsewhere and the ones that are left will bring their unionised, bloated company culture with them (same could be said for many airlines in that region actually) to what is one of the leanest airlines in the world, if a tight leash is not kept on em.

Air Asia First Officer Confirmation Email???
Hi,
What are all those guys who haven't received a confirmation email from the Air Asia team? On applying the first time I got a application server error and on applying twice again just got the response saying
"Thank you for applying to AirAsia Berhad.
If your application is successful, you will received an email from us" but NO email.
Does anyone have any clue as how to get the email confirmation?

As expected, experience pilots have the upper hand.
Posting the jobs for CPL is just an advertising, marketing and publicity gimmick for them.
As a low timers, you can be hired, but like I said you need to have extremely strong connections. Tough luck guys
