Hi
Does anyone have any information on lion air. Min reqs for FO and T&Cs etc.

Tried the website but no relevant info in English.

i know a bunch of guys from spicejet who just went down there...you apply direct to company sans agent......plan on going to jakarta for sim ..it takes 10 days to hear if you pass...so im told

the pay is 9000/month from what i hear

They are taking on Ab-initio F/Os through Eagle Aviation or Falcon Aviation. Lots of money to be spent with very little to be earned with very severe termination clauses.

Lion Air don't hire expat DEFO's. This is a pay to fly company if your not local. A few agencies line up P2F candidates for them and all pay around 50K for the privilege.

You don't want to go there.

got some news about indonesian players and msd aviation
the thing is really screwed here BOYZ
1) THEY SEND U TO COCKPIT 4 U FOR TYPE RATING FOR WHICH THEY TAKE 1800000 INR.
U GET A RATING OF 737 800 AND BACK TO INDIA NOW U GET IT ENDORSED AND FLY TO JAKARTA FOR SIM CHECK AND INDUCTION
U PASS SIM CHECK AND INDUCTED SALARY STARTS HAPPY GO LUCKY KIND OF THING
3 YRS FOR 2000 2300 2600 USD
NOW WHEN U R BACK IN INDIA (IF U WANT)
ACCORDING TO INDONESIAN DGCA TYPE RATED ON 737 800 CAN FLY 737 900 WITH NO ISSUES WITH THE FEW SIM SESSIONS ON THEIR SO CALLED SIMULATOR IN LION AIR
ACCORDING TO INDIAN DGCA ITS ILLIGAL TO FLY 737 900ER WITHOUT ITS RATING AND THE HRS FLOWN ARE NOT VALID
SO ALL UR FLYING AND HARD WORK WHICH U HAVE DONE FOR PENUTS GOES FOR A TOSS HERE
U CANNOT FLY ON HIGHER CATAGORY WITH LOWER A/C ENDORSEMENT SO UR INDONESIAN LICENSE WILL BE NOT VALID NITHER UR HRS ON 737 900 ER
2) U GET A 737 900ER RATING DONE.......GUYS BEWARE I ASKED DUPTY LICENCING OFFICER AND HE TOLD 737 900 ER TYPE RATED PILOTS WILL NOT GET THAT A/C ENDORSED ON THERE LICENSE AS IT IS NOT RECOGNISED YET BY DGCA (CAR SECTION 7)
3) IN 1ST CASE AS I SAID U HAVE TO GO BACK TO LION AIR AND FLY THERE UNTIL A SOLUTION S REACHED AND KEEP GETTIN SCREWED EVERY DAY AND THEY TAKE CONTRACT FROM U FOR NEXT TWO YRS SO AGAIN U R A BONDED LABOUR (BADHUA MAJDOOR)
4) PEOPLE WRITE HERE EVEN AFTER FINISHING 3 YR CONTRACT WITH MSD AVIATION LION AIR ASK FOR 2 MORE YRS WHICH U HAVE TO FULFILL OTHERWISE THEY WONT GIVE A RELIEVING LETTER WHICH IS REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING A JOB IN ANY AIRLINES AND MANDATORY.
5)IF SOME ONE GET 737 900 ER TYPE RATING DONE GOT KNOWS WHEN IT WILL BE ENDORSED ON UR LICENSE IF IT DONE AT THE EARLIEST ACCORDING TO INDIAN DGCA MIN OF SIX MONTH THAT IS QUICK ACCORDING TO THEM SIX MONTH IS LIKE SIX HRS FOR THEM (IN BRHMHA LOK ONE HR IS 1 YR ON OUR MORTAL PLANET) SO IN DGCA 1 HR IS 1 MONTH ON UR NOT SO GREEN PLANET.

ULTIMETLY GUYS DONT BE IN HURRY NO ONE WILL WANT TO PAY AFTER 3 YRS WITH SO MUCH OF HARDWORK RESULTING IN ILLIGAL FLYING I M NOT COUNTING ON OTHER BIG AVIATION GAINTS LIKE SINGAPORE TURKISH ETIHAD QATAR EMIRATES CATHY PACIFIC ETC BECAUSE THEY ARE FAR FAR SUPIRIOR IN RULES N REGULATION SO IF DGCA HAS A OBJECTION THEY WILL HAVE MORE THAN ONE OBJECTION BECAUSE OF THIER HIGH STD

Alas these spoiled brats have been warned about the ills of Lion Air. Too bad family money has been wasted on their whims. Legit carriers ala EK and QR may not touch former Lion Air crews as they are black listed from flying in the real world of aviation.

Ye shall reap what yea shall sew.
