Volk Airlines future
Guys i h've been hearing a lot about volk airlines, that they'll gonna start their operations real soon by next year, but dunno if its just a rumour or what. Also they haven't got the operator's permit yet, according to dgca's scheduled and non scheduled operator's list.
could anyone here shed some light on this!

To get an operators permit from the DGCA one has to first receive an NOC from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to start a scheduled airline .
I havent seen any approvals lately or for the past 2 years from MoCA for any airline called VOLK ( the last one was published in June 2012 )
Now unless its parent company has another name the only other company with an NOC to start an All India Scheduled passenger airline is Capt Gopinath for Deccan ( I could be wrong though but I am pretty sure I would have remembered any other airline names as well if I had read it )
Funnily enough on linkedin most VOLK employees seems to be former employees of the now defunct Paramount Airways........

Air Costa seems to be on the verge of start up. Two of their Aircraft are apparently repainted and reconfigured and are in London ready to be flown down to India. The company is pushing for mid nov launch. Somebody needs to fill the void left by Kingfisher and Paramount. Despite being an regional airline they seemed to have obtained some dispensation to fly to more tier 2 and tier 3 cities in Non Chennai FIR.

Embraer 170
You may have a point there. Anyway, whatever happened to the Embraers flying for Paramount when they wound up??? Any idea? Air Kerala may start earlier than any, I think...now that they even have a Mallu MoS for Civil Aviation (as of today).
