SQ for me, worked there, an absolute world class operation, maybe pay vs cost of living may not be the greatest, but overall super airline to work for, my wife and kids just loved the place, had to move because of my command promotion, but will go back as soon as i have enough PIC Time.

Probably not Jetstar,
Just been informed no further upgrades for FO's in foreseeable future due to 787's no longer coming here, hence oversupply of pilots. Also loosing our staff travel to Europe with Qantas as of April next Year
Too many captains so they are currently flying average of 70-75hrs
FO Basic $6500 SGD, $140 after 55hrs, $150 after 60hrs
Captain Basic $11600 SGD, $250 after 60hrs.
Very poor rostering, only get our roster 5/6 days before start of next month.
Very poor medical offered, realistically need private cover. ($500-1000 per year)
No pension
Apartment in Singapore - $3000/month min for 2 bed condo, more realistic $3500 - $4000/month
Schooling for Kids - $2000 per month
Car - Forget it ($80,000 for permission to even buy a car + another $50,000 to buy it)
Beer - $5/6 dollars in local eating house, $15/20 in popular areas
Groceries - Around $800/month for 2 people. Red meat is very expensive.
Mobile Phone/Internet - $100/month for unlimited fast connection
Utilities - $150 - $300 month
Public Transport - Very cheap and reliable, max $2 trip on train/bus

AMU
Start as FO, no time on type. Big bond paid over a few yrs, up grade when u have 4000TT and about 3 to 4 yrs in company, bond carry over to CPT.
FO make avg. $4000usd up to $8500usd if FO A and paid bond and fly alot in PEK for CCA.
CPT min $11000usd.
This is all after tax,,,tax is only 3-6%.
Plus 13 month and usually bonus.
Last 2 yrs +3%.
To be anounced soon is new pay structure. Anything is possible, who knows, but wouldn't count on it.
Apartment $1000usd to $2500usd ++
Utilities about $300usd (single guy)
School, ask the guys with kids.
Macau is cheap to live food and drink wise compared to SIN, HKG, etc.
Downside, and its big,,, 80% and up to all ur flying in China...delays, cannots, etc is daily STD.
Overall, its a small company, 14 a/c, but its what u make of it.
Good expat comm.
