Air Asia Indonesia Pilot Intake

Hi everyone! As Air Asia is moving its regional office to Indonesia and Air Asia Indonesia is expanding, hope anyone can share some info on their pilot's intake for A320.

Type rating is the easy part.. Just wonder if they would take pilot with zero hours on type?

If U R from KL why not apply to Air Asia first and ask for Transfer down there? no need to pay for your rating just sign a ludicrous bond.

Hi there !

Sadly Air Asia is only allowed to hire nationals. Nothing for expats, unless you already are a captain.

However the laws in Indonesia permits the hiring of foreign pilots, so it might be worthy to send a CV.....but if you do not have 500h on type, you are wasting your time.
Airlines management seem really silly theses days. They would rather have an Aircraft sitting on the ground due to the fact they can't find any pilots with 500h, than pay for a proper training on type.
I have an ATP + 320 TR and can't find anything at all.
Good luck.

If such a way is available I would be the happiest man alive.. Unfortunately Air Asia management didn't really happy to interfere within their partner in other country, and the Malaysian Air Asia is now flooded with 200hrs applicants and there would be no more intakes until next year.. But again IF and only IF, people got good connection inside they might have the opportunity to do as u said..

CCQ from A330 to A320 not difficult. Provided you have wonderful "entries".

They have qualified TRI to train you (only if they like you).

Members here will only give you tips.

To get the interview, it still comes back to square one, you need connection. Believe me or not, sending in resume through email may not help.

Always remember, you need somebody who you know and is willing to submit your application on the desk on behalf for you.

Above not true - depends on what they need. A year ago you could have posted your CV on the net and you would have been invited for an interview a couple of week later. I am talking foreign DEC.
Now it is different as they got a lot of local FO's ready for upgrade.
There is also not much expansion going on here, as there is no more space for parking aircraft. Once they new KL terminal is done, there are many AC coming. Then the pic might change again.
Also with Malindo starting next year, who knows .
By the way I am talking about KL here !!!!
