Multi Engine Requirement for A 320 Type Rating
Hi guys
Need some clarity on the subject of multi engine requirement for undergoing A 320 type rating.
The requirement as told to me from various sources if 25 Hrs multi engine time. However, some people say that out of this 10 hrs can be on multi engine simulator.
Air India CTE in the latest ad for A 320 type rating had advertised that 15 Hrs can be on multi engine simulator.
Someone please throw some light on the issue.
Additionally, can multi engine time on helicopters count towards this requirement.
Is the rquirement of multi engine time requirement of Airbus Industry or is it requirement of DGCA India.
Is it worthwhile to try to approach DGCA or Airbus Industry to try to convince them to give due credit for multi engine time on helicopters.
Suggestions are kindly requested please

Vickyabha,
"Is it worthwhile to try to approach DGCA or Airbus Industry to try to convince them to give due credit for multi engine time on helicopters"
Are you for real? How does a helicopter have the same "asymmetric" characteristics as a fixed wing jet aircraft?
You must have some "multi-engine " time on a "fixed wing" aircraft due to OEI profiles, can't get the same effect in a Helo.
You countries DGCA/Regs is the best source of info...Not P@rune....
Move On
