Apparently u do 12hr duty days most times, their frequency to all destinations keep increasing, and they're operating with a very slender margin, i know that Vietnam's cost of living is comparatively low in the region, but $9k for a A320 captain is quite low.

I heard the Chief Pilot is an ex AirphilExpress Captain.... know of a few folk (FO and Capt) leaving the Philippines recently to join the ranks. I heard they applied directly and the process was straightforward and quick. Guess it's who you know and a positive bias for Filipinos. Despite all the negative press, they believe it's a good option but think this view is purely short term and financial - salaries higher than the Phils with a similar cost of living.
