The new Chief Pilot is ex-PAL, ex-VNA captain. The ex-AirPhil guy mentioned below has already been sacked for incompetence.

I think the other agency aside from Paramount is not DA but FD Aviation based in Singapore (hole in the wall ops?)

A French guy was taken in as Training Manager and he was sooo full and bristling with ideas during the first couple of weeks. Soon after, he was also reduced to a lethargic nobody because of the de facto Vietnamese power structure.

Hi samca,

I hate to burst your bubble but don't hold your breath with these people. I applied both through the management because I people there and through Paramount (never heard a peep out of those jacka**es!). That was in July....I am still here waiting for a job.

They may need pilots desparately but they don't act like it. They had several new FOs go through DA Aviation several months ago after paying tens of thousands of dollars for their type-rating and basically bribe-money...they are not on the line yet.

The company is run by a bunch a Vietnamese who have absolutely no aviation background (most came from the banking industry) and they only hold their position because they were someone's family member or friend - which is the way it works here.

To make a long story short, you will die of waiting for these people.... so don't.

To those who keep on asking:

The reason that Vietjet is not hiring even if they got a million routes being considered for expansion PROBABLY (did I say PROBABLY already?) is because they are negotiating for a WET LEASE agreement (incl cabin crew) with Air Philippines of 3x A320s.

As always, the last stumbling block is the PRICE. Dr. Hung just met up with Ramon Ang last Monday to negotiate this

not hiring cadets

They are not taking anymore cadets in, not from DA, Para or directly Vietjet. Unless you are Vietnamise, you have a chance to apply directly to vjet. There are at the moment lot of cadets still waiting for their license and line trg. You have to have experience on A3(2)0 to get FO position.

Anyone else received an email from a guy that says he is the deputy head of people department-flight crew recruitment for a320 fleet??

It asks for a checklist of documents, amongst other things criminal record

It also says that for Fo if under standard they will consider 1500 TT and 500 hours of a320

Also cadet position is as advertised.

Don't know what to take out of this.

Proffessionalism is arriiving at your sim check with 2 bottles of whiskey.
Proffessionalism is being involved in bar brawls in the '" Girlie Bars Downtown" 1 week after arrival.
Proffessionalism is being involved in road rage.
Proffessionalism is meeting the chief pilot with some more whiskey because i could not get up on time for work.

I think you need a doctor-Another amateur in Aviation
