@aviacon

My only suggestion is to hang the present DGCA officials till death.
So you are only capable of trash talk?

I suggest we outsource. Bring the Brits back. We are not good at governing. Indians should only be given clerical positions. Top officials at teh DGCA can serve as peons and janitors working under the British.
So this is your standard? Then you be a janitor. That way if a white man visits, you get to fulfill your dream of licking some white a_s.

What a joke this DGCA has turned out to be. They have absolutely no clue what they are doing.
And "you" have a clue? You must be a very successful person then. Has daddy already bought an airline job for you?

If they are short of manpower, let them hire more employees. Simple as that.
With that kind of money flowing into the office, why cannot they afford to outsource.
Ohhhh. I wonder why nobody thought of that.

Oh but......

Do some research before you start whining on such fora.

Makes me want to renounce my Indian citizenship!!
Oh please don't do that. Otherwise who else will come here and demoralize Indian pilots.

Listen, you brat. Keep your inferiority complex to yourself. Do not spread negativity around.

If you have any problems with the DGCA's working, write a letter to them with your comments. Take part in the democratic process of the country. First perform your duty as a citizen and then maybe you earn the right to whine. Do not expect everything to be given to you on a platter, you bum.

Enough talking. I am now going to post my suggestions to DGCA.

Thank you cyrilroy21 for opening this thread. You took the initiative.

The DGCA is the worst enemy of the aspiring Indian Pilot. What other country has a requirement for a captain to have 1,000 hours in type before his/her first officer can fly the jet. What other country has a requirement that a first officer has to conduct 20 landings with an instructor... not an examiner, but an instructor before they can fly the jet?

My heart goes out to those who are truly motivated to raise their levels in the profession. However with the Central Government as it is and the Minister of Aviation as he is... the DGCA, as inept as they are will never change.

Well said sir! Indeed from the posts on these forums one can infer what kind of hassles an aspiring pilot in India has to go through concerning paperwork, countless renewals, validations and the like. That 1000 hour PIC req. is outright silly!

Some will brave it and go on to either fly or fail. Best of luck to those who do. But my advice would be to keep away from this BS and make your place elsewhere. Lot's of new opportunities in the market especially in a country like India.
