AI likely to recruit 100 co pilots.. what kind?

Hello everyone,

I am pretty sure we all heard about the AI strike failure and the subsequent decision to recruit 100 co-pilots and the required number of expats to fill the void.

All I want to know- What kind of copilots is AI looking for? Experienced, Rated, freshers?

Your views???

Co-pilots = Trainee pilots those who are waiting for line-training/TR/Checks from previous batch's + Kin's of Honorable Ministers/ High grade officials of AI/Etc

Captains = Expats unless AI poaches locals from some Indian operators which is next to impossible considering the state it got itself into.

PS : In modified new advert for Rated 737 Copilots for AIX, 500 hour's on type for Copilots have been removed.

100 co-pilots
They will take the same 100 who have been fired, but on a contractual basis.

If more are needed, then there are quite a few at IX and CD, who are in the middle of their training.

The kind with 250 hours of flight time.

The kind with wet Commercial Licenses.

The kind who are knee deep in debt, and are willing to fly for pennies.

The kind who are desperate to fly, and will put up with any kind of nonsense.

And the list goes on..

fresher trainees for 777s? lol..
When pilots of 2008 recruitment for fresh trainee pilots can get 747 then why not again on 777 ?

By the way 737 folks from AIX are mostly on deputation and will head back soon to parent company leaving hole in AIX which will be filled by upgraded pilots and trainee's.

Need more options ? - Wait for official public opening relating same then ....

point 'n' is a standard clause in all government companies.

Again, I am hoping they do use that soon.

So who are the scabs going to be that sign up to join this pathetic airline?

If they can't pay their own pilot's salaries for the past 6 months, what makes any of you think they will pay a contract pilot, who has no rights in country, and who's crew leasing agency has zero leverage with A.I.?

I hope someone is keeping track of the names who join up so we can add them to the global scab list.

The Air India pilots are on strike. If you cross their picket line you will be labeled as a scab for life... and your name will be found out. Make no mistake about that. Why would anyone want that? Their management is absolutely horrid as it is.

Horrible management, horrible government, horrible taxes, horrible working environment, you probably are a very desperate man if you are even considering AI.
