foreign flying hours
i have 160 odd flying hours flown in AUSTRALIA....due to some visa problems i had to come back to india. Is it possible for me to get an INDIAN CPL by flying the rest of the 40 hours in india alongwith clearing all subjects(nav, reg tech, met and rtr). I don't have an australian CPL so can't apply for conversion. Are the 160 hours flown in australia valid in INDIA or will i have to fly 200 hours all over again india to get the indian CPL?

Dgca willl recognize your flying hours only if you have some license prefferably PPL and in any case go to dgca to confirm. also they might ask you for details of ur visa n copy of passport with departure/arrival stamps.

To my understanding it never matterīd in the past where you have flown hours to gain expirience. It was essential that you have flown those hours.
To sustain your logbook it may help that you show a invoice of the FBO or School where you have taken the Airplane. Also a supporting letter from such a outfit helps to verify that you have used a real Airplane and not a "Parker".
Good luck with your endavour in getting all acts together, that does then give you a licence.... not a job security if you aim for that.
To land a plane is easier then landing a job in the beginning. You have to clear subjects and rocks out of your way.
Fly safe and land happy

Recently I ve heard a case, where DGCA rejected an application for conversion of License, Since the training was done from multiple countries. Meaning, PPL from X country, IR from Y and CPL from Z.
Please attend open house session of DGCA it is usually conducted on Mondays and Thursdays.
Recently, they have brought alot of issues in training that they have never mentioned in any of their CARs.
