Is it Rs. 5000 or Rs. 50? It says on the form COP-23 that the draft is to be made for Rs. 50, which sounds about right. Rs. 5,000 is usually the type of money charged by the DGCA (NOT the WPC) for a new license/endorsement.

urgent Query

Guys, I have a UK FRTOL which was issued in 2008 and is valid until 2018.Based on this COP ie RTR(C) was issued to me by WPC after clearing PART 1 Exam ,which got expired in feb 2012.
Now how do I get it renewed .... just by giving PART 1 again or do I have to do 30 hrs of flying as well.... Please ADVISE.

@Speedbird 100

yes all u need is to clear the part 1 once again . and your RTR(C) will be renewed for another 20 years. i repeat "another 20 years and not the life time". when you clear the part 1, you need not to worry about 30 hours of flying...

Cheers

@speedbird;

The 30 hrs is not a new thing, It was always there. Basically all it means that you have operated on an aircraft as a radio operator for 30 hrs in past 36 months.

Which means you could fly with your buddy as a safety pilot & operate radio or fly the a/c as PIC/ Dual whatever.

If you have 30 hrs in the past 36 months before your COP expired, then WPC has a provision that allows you renew late upto 1 or 2 yrs by paying the late fees.

The wpc website has a lot resourses but they are not easy to search.

Read the rules, then you may want to check with WPC & point out that particular provision & they will agree....

Yes, giving part 1 is always an option.

If you got RTR after passing Part-1 exam on basis of Philippine FRTOL then you have RTR( C) and not RTR( P ).
Check your license and if its RTR ( Converted ) then submit your new Philippine FRTOL with relevant documents to WPC office in New Delhi for renewal 3 months before expiry date of current RTR license.

Renewal of expired RTR (p) , carrying Philippines CPL

Hii i did my training from Philippines i got my CPL on June 2011 valid till may 2012 and Philippine FRTOL (RROC FROM NTC) valid till may 2016 . I came back to India and applied for RTR (P) so i got permit valid for 1 year only which expired on may 2012 . further i applied for conversion of my foreign CPL license to Indian CPL which i got converted successfully in November 2013 and validity for both Indian CPL and FRTOL is for 5 years .Iam holding a current class 1 Indian medical although my foreign class 1 medical already expired on may 2012 as Philippine class 1 medical and cpl validity is same for 1 year only. but my 30 hours of flying in last 3 years is expiring on Aug 2014

My queries are:

1) whether i can still renew my RTR (P) and extend its validity up to 20 years

2) if i have current indian licence and frtol based on it i can get rtr for 20 years

3) W hat other options i have to renew my rtr

please suggest:
