Air Asia DEC Bond?

Hello,

Does anyone know what kind of a training bond and duration does Air Asia require from the direct entry captain position on the 320?

In particular how do they want the bond. Is it a bank guarantee?

Thanks,

I think I read somewhere else here that if you are rated and current as captain on type you will have no bond....

150000 MYR if not current even if you rated, reducing to 75000 after three years. If you rated and current it's 75000 MYR. All for 5 years !!!

Do you know how they want you to guarantee that bond? Do they require a bank guarantee or just sign a document?

There is two documents - one the Bond Agreement for you to sign and then another which is the Security Agreement for somebody else to sign.

What does the Security agreement contain? And who is that somebody else?

I'm not sure I understand the process. I'm sorry, but I have no experience in doing expat contracts at all.

Hi I just did it now , you have to convert all of them to pdf , read the instructions as they tell you how to do it , was not very difficult but guess what , got a reply of interview dates for Sept 3 to 5 so 7 months wait , as far as i know you can not join 3x directly , you have to start from the tail , i mean 320 up.

So all DECs start on the 320? What if you have prior widebody time? I'm interested in Air Asia X widebody DEC. I would not do the 320 left seat... don't want to leave my current widebody job to fly narrowbody. Is this an option or should I forget about Air Asia. Thanks in advance.
