It’s not someone… It’s who that can demonstrate the strength, and leadership required to keep government intervention out of the airline.

It will take an individual with strength to sit, observe, take notes, and act based on those observations and notes, again without government intervention.

There is no problem to insurmountable that can’t be fixed. Conditions are bound to decline until new changes take effect. There will be employees in all ranks that may not agree with the new program. However, there’s always a cure to that. They have to be reminded that the menu of life is limited. Two choices. Either get on board with the new program, or get off.

Again, it has to be without government intervention.

However, AI should not be allowed to survive off the backs of the private carriers as it is doing now. That’s just not free enterprise. And that’s because of government intervention.

Air India

I agree AI cannot continue in it's present form. I knew the last COO who tried to run the Airline free reign but was shot down and accused of lack of cooperation with government officials who he claimed were incessantly interfering with his recovery plans.

These officials are not aviation experts and yet forced him to resign as he was unable to implement his recommended strategy.

There is likely too many there with vested interest in keeping this Airline going at the tax payers expense for their own benefit.

I see little hope unless the public takes a strong stand against the government to streamline the company and make Air India a private company.

I can't then understand why the government does not divest it and sell it. If there are strategic issues sell it to an Indian business conglomerate rather than pouring good taxpayer money after bad into it?
