Air Asia charging to check in at the counter
Has low cost flying really reached the point where you need to reduce the use of counter staff by charging 30,000 IDR ( $3 USD Approx ) to check in? It is bad enough that the price which is advertised nearly doubles because of "add-ons" but now we have to pay extra for customer service?
If there was indeed a reliable carrier in Indonesia my choice would probably vary from Air Asia but slim picking in this country.
Thoughts?

They are just following the RyanAir model. Papers in KL talked about all of the 'added-revenue' available to Air Asia that they haven't tapped yet, so expect more of the same whereever they fly.
