Comical DGCA Report on "Serious Incident" !

Heres the full report of a Jet Airways precautionary evacuation at Mumbai airport supposedly written in English ,by an Indian DGCA officer who seems to have never flown a kite in his life! Not only is the report comical(he calls it a "serious incident" possibly after being bribed to help insurance companies and Jet Air save costs) , it raises serious doubts about the technical capabilities of the Indian DGCA. A third rate regulatory body in an aviaton environment that deals with cutting edge technology.Pathetic is not the word !!!!

The DGCA needs to be vaporized and recreated from the ground up.

Skyt, you mention something which is well known amongst us and beyond. Ya, it is scary how such technically inept folks are residing on core aviation issues. I sincerely believe that Indian aviation survives inspite of this incompetent regulator and remains 'safe' by virtue of luck and providence. Even a recent disaster in Mangalore did not change a darn thing.

It's India they love bureacracy and anything that helps prevent a sense of functionality/advancement. It's yet another government department that is there for itself and it's well fed political masters. Add onto that the state owned Air India and you have the complete starter kit for misery.
