More 777-300ERs for Singapore Airlines

SIA has ordered eight more 777-300ERs, for delivery between 2013-14. The order will bring the airline's 77W fleet to 27.

The airline's orders for 787-9s and A350s won't begin to be delivered until about 2015-16, so this order is for medium term growth.

Their medium term growth plans are not very far from the long term growth ones; they have a policy selling off their fairly new planes once their initial outlay has been recouped leaving them with good shiny planes.
