Hi All
Would any Singapore mainline/Cargo/Jetstar Asia/Tiger pilots be so kind as to pass on what the cost of living in Singapore is really like so I can get a clearer picture.
for example ,
( these are not the actual numbers just an outline for my questions)
1) Tax 12 %
2) Accomodation , 2 or 3 Bedroom apartment in the East coast area
( close to work) $3500 per month
3)Taxi and public transport $300 per month
4)Kids Schooling $500 per child per month.
5)Medical Insurance a) Hospital plan $1000 per month for self, wife and kid
b) Full cover $2000 per month for self wife and kid.
6)Utilities ( water /electricity / internet) $500 per month
7)Food and groceries $2000 per month
8)Loss of licence insurance $2000 per annum.
9) Any other monthly expenses I,ve omitted ?
In addition
1) How many hours do you fly per month/per annum.?
2) How much annual leave ?
3) What about staff travel ?
4)Is there an end of service benefit/provident fund/ bonus payout ?
5) What is your notice period if you want to resign ?
6) What is the retirement age in Singapore ?
I know for some its personal , please pm me then if you prefer. If you dont want to mention which carrier thats also ok. Really appreciate any one taking the time to answer the above ,
Many thanks
