trainee aircraft crashed at aligarh

A trainer aircraft of a private flying club crashed into the fields of a village in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district on Friday killing the pilot and leaving the trainee pilot critically injured, police said.

The two-seater aircraft, owned by the Pioneer Flying Club, crashed into in Khangahri village of Aligarh, some 300 km from Lucknow.

“Captain Rakesh Grover died while trainee pilot IP Reddy received critical injuries," Superintendent of Police (Rural) Prem Chandra said.

Reddy, a native of Andhra Pradesh, is being treated at a hospital.

“The exact reason behind the crash is yet to be ascertained. An inquiry would be conducted by the civil aviation authorities,” added Chandra

some rumour says it crashed coz of engine failure while takeoff

it was technical snag causing a propeller to went off.trainee pilot also died today.RIP

Depressing...may capt. Rakesh grover and the student rest in peace...had flown with capt.Rakesh grover a couple of times...was a very humorous person..my condolences to both their families...
