Reduced Recency requirements from DGCA?

Just curious here,

Heard about a few instances where the DGCA reduced the recency requirements for a few random individuals taking the 15 PIC requirement to 7 & 6 hours or so. Thats for conversions..

I dont believe it but I keep on coming across people who swear by it.

Is that true? Does the DGCA do that for real?

@Cactus225

The cases that you might be referring to might be the ones concerning the Duchess issue. DGCA requires 10 hrs to be flown on an aircraft for it to be issue a licence on. They can reduce it to 6.5 hrs (on a seneca)if a multi rating is wanted. But as far as i know the DGCA is not reducing the number of recency hours to be flown.

Its just that para 1 ,clause e of Section K of Schedule II of the aircraft rules of 1937 will be replaced with new requirements as given in the document

Section K is for those who are getting CPL helicopter and clause E is for those converting from a CPL / ATPL ( A )
