Marcus.
What we got this year or 2005 is irrelevant. If you plan to join, plan on getting nothing. Anything more than that should then be a pleasant surprise. If you budget your life in Singapore on profit sharing... Brace for impact...
Best of luck!

Not quite correct on both accounts re Silkair.
Silkair as a company made a siginificantly greater profit compared to mainline. As part of the agreement when it was spun off was that for the first couple of years the bonus of staff would be tied mainline on a sliding scale. So in this years case if Silkair were independent they would've got 6+ months but the agreement limits them to only 1.1 above mainline. This though is the last year and from 2012 onwards they're on their own.

Silkair's Profit Sharing Bonus (PSB) formula just ended this year. As part of their formula, they have a +/- 1.5 months bracket to SIA's bonus. This year, SIA received 3.35 months bonus. Silkair received 4.85 months bonus. SIA Cargo received 2.4 months bonus.
All these figures do not include the 13 month pay because, as mentioned, is not a bonus.
The basic wages of SIA, SIAC and Silkair are different. Ok, SIA and SIAC are more or less equal. And, I can only be sure for Silkair, their FOs get a higher basic pay compared to the rest of the company.
