The dates aren't out yet. But if your application is good to go, you can send it right away. Else, if you're waiting on something, keep track of the DGCA website on a daily basis for the last date of submission.

You can download Form CA-9 (Revised January 2011) for your ATPL exam from this link http://dgca.nic.in/forms/Pilot/pilotexam.pdf

Regarding the submission of the form, if you live in Delhi, you might as well submit it in person at the DGCA office. The other option is to send your exam form by only speed/regd. post to

DIRECTOR OF AIRWORTHINESS (CEO)
O/O THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CIVIL AVIATION
EAST BLOCK-III, R.K. PURAM,
NEW DELHI-110066

Hope this helps.

@smurf84
DGCA no longer entertains submission of examination forms by hand. So,That leaves you with only one option and that is by speed post/reg. post.

Oh okay. I never knew that. Thanks for the info.

And yes an attested copy of your CPL with multi-engine endorsement, Demand Draft and your application form. That will do.

Like Aviator09 mentioned,

then it would be better if you send the form by speed/regd post.

Question ATPL exam???

well what i wud suggest is that we shud wait till dgca comes up wth some official declaration of the last date for ATPL exam....

Who knows they might come up with a new updated form or they might add some other documents to be attached wth form..or who knows they might be planning to go online from this attempt only..so maybe some new procedure to apply ..who knws??

so i think we shud wait and watch...thats what i think..

also i think the july exam is not going to be in july...it will be postponed further..lets c..

They havent written anything abt online exams as they still have to structure the company which is gonna provide them with the online facilities.

The fact that the exams have been postponed to 3week AUG and the last date is 18th july for submission makes it clear theyr pushing too hard to make it online and as far as i can guess! They shall be online this time!!

Manager's Cheque the same as a Demand Draft?

So this may sound a little silly. The other day I went to get me a DD for sending along with the ATPL application and later realized it was instead a Manager's Cheque. Been trying to call them (the bank) up to make sure it won't get rejected by Mr. DGCA, but with no luck. The bank is unfortunately not next door to me.

My question therefore is, are the two (i.e. Demand Draft and a Manager's Cheque) more or less the same and if I should get me a DD to avoid my application from getting rejected. Many thanks!

If you have made it from delhi itself, there should no problem with the banker's cheque.
