I welcome all comments
Westcoaster, I think you refer to a reply I wrote in response to GoFlyIndia's post, which is no longer here. So you haven't had the opportunity to read the post he made. Which from what I remember was quite cutting.
But in my defence, my reply is still visible. See below:
"Hi GoFlyIndia. you seemed to be a little upset. What do you know of India. From your 3 post on here I don't see any evidence of you having experience there. Despite the fact that you call yourself goflyindia?
Yes I have read 'incredible india - or not' i have also read lots of other stuff.
you have to make your own judgement. Please PM me if you have anything concrete to add or wish to share your experience. At least it would be constructive."
You can check my previous posts and you will find I openly invite all view points. I am also in touch with several other and we share good and not so good information.
Also you have not quoted me correctly, I never said
"PM if you have something constructive to say" (See above)
You wrote "then listen to everyone and stop dictating the rules here..."
That is the whole point of this thread. I am here to listen and be listened to. I am not dictating the rules, but I have the right to reply. Once again, it is a shame that the original post by goflyindia is no longer available.
So please don't think bad of me. Its not how I am.
I see you have recently expressed an interest in SpiceJet Contractors from your other posts. So if there is any information I can help you with please get in touch.

Security Clearance
On the 17th August 2011. I received an email from SpiceJet that my security clearance was ready.
In addition the stated
"I would like to inform you that the first 2 aircrafts are departing Canada on 26 / 27 Aug and the next two after a week. We are introducing the fleet into our network on 21 Sep and have started booking of seats."
Cheers.

The NG fleet is picking up the slack due to frequent groundings of the Q's. Hardly a testament to neither the aircraft or Spice maintenance.
Rostering says that NG guys are being regularly pulled up for cancelled Q400 flights putting further pressure on staff shortages.
Met an expat at the hotel....... Guys are not happy with constant modifications in their contract. No prizes for guessing which way the mods are going.
So far, the whole op is living up to Spice's rep of being run by a bunch of yahoos.

Why SpiceJet has such a hard time time to find piots
Yes, two already, some others to follow soon ….. .
That is why:
Contract: The very first day after arrival - jetlagged and tired – you have to sign a new contract. No more „8 days off“, it says „acc. Roster“ and they change it to 10/2 or 12/3 weeks „on“ / „off“.
Rotation: see above. Your travel will be on days „off“, you loose 4 days just travelling.
Tickets: you pay for it, they re-imburse you the spent money. Can take up to 3 month.
Money: it´s there by the end of the month. You will be paid in INR, not in Dollars. To exchange and send home is an adventure by itself - costly and time consuming. Sometimes you simply can´t send it, because the bank tells you that it is impossible to send to this or that account overseas. It takes up to 3 weeks to be sent.
Arrival: you stay in an indian (!) guesthouse for your initial stay in Dehli / Gurgaon. There are issues with hygenie and corelated sickness, moskitos in the rooms and an never ending noiselevel of honking cars.
Leave: you simply don´t get it without fighting for it. Tickets see above. They are short of pilots. The company decides, that you have to stay and you shall bring your family over here.
Roster: you are working 6 days on, 1 off. Roster is done daily by late evening for the next day. You will recognise your day „off“ during your day off - by not receiving a call from rostering.
Licence: reneval is on your expense.
Working condition: be prepared that the Dy Chief Pilot yells on you. All very disorganized and the first ones are leaving already.

@ HappyCampers,
I have my Indian CPL but i am not rated on the Q400.. i was wondering if spice hires CPL holders on Q400 or do you have to be rated and also whats the situation for the next few months for the Q400 induction or are they done hiring for the time being ?
your reply is appreciated.
