Does anyone know of any school which offers Flt Dispatcher Course approved by the DGCA?
Any information regarding training/working as a flt dispatcher would be appreciated.

I would advise you to do jeppesen flight dispatch course. You better head to Dubai and do it, it is approved worldwide and who knows you can get a job in Dubai itself. I am not a dispatcher but I see them work when I go to work, its a very stressful job so be prepared.

Hey,
I was just checking about this the other day. Just aint that easy!
Remember that you are going to be dealing with the DGCA.
there is a huge list of less know requirements for this course. Refer CAR SEction & Series M part II. So make sure you have these requirements taken care of before you go spend that money.
Secondly, you would need a permission from the DGCA to go train at whatever institute you chose. The syllabus needs to be approved by them.
Most of the schools would advertise themselves as one with the DGCA approved courses, but you would need to be real careful while choosing one.
I guess most of the flight schools in India would train you for this. Just read the CAR mentioned above for the details though.
Ciao..

Anybody that would go to Jeppesen at EK College in Dubai for the purposes of becoming a DGCA Licensed Dispatcher in India is a FOOL!
The Jeppesen FAA Flight Dispatcher course, FAA Approved only if it is done on US soil in a facility reguarly audited by the FAA, never has and never will be accepted by the DGCA. That is also why you can not use the Jeppesen course to take an formal FAA written, oral & practical exam for the coveted FAA Certification (lifetime license) even if you do manage to get a visa and be on US soil.
In fact, all 5 or 6 DGCA Approved Dispatcher schools in India went bankrupt because the DGCA will still not grant an individual a license, even after the course, as is with the Jeppesen psuedo FAA course in Dubai for an expiring UAE license, until you are hired by an employer, do several months of on the job training, and are finally tested by a DGCA Inspector. In light of this, in India most airlines hire from within, train and license their own staff under a bond type agreement, as a lifetime type employment, and most ousiders are left out...
On top of this, even if you somehow manage to get in, expect to pay lot's of undertable money similiar to the DGCA ATP certifications, etc.
Don't waste your time... go do something else, I know it is hard in India, (many Jeppesen graduates in Dubai also still never got the stress filled Dispatcher job or full llicense UAE license that expires) ... it will only be your funeral. Good luck!
