Well they just went from a single 320 to a single 320 + a single 321, and I believe the plan is only for another 2 (believe it when you see it) so they won't need much.

Why on earth would you want to work there anyway?

For a low houred Type rated person like myself, less than 500 hours on type. My choices in Europe are non existent.

Do they employ expats?

SL CAA won't accept your licence with less then 500 on type, don't know about the company's attitude towards expats.

I'd stay away from that part of the world anyway... Not an easy place to survive unless flying long haul.

Thanks for the info. On their website it says CPL licence or higher acceptable to the Sri Lankan DGCA so not sure if they would accept it or not. Either way its one more company thats hiring so got to apply to them all.

What are the chances of getting in for an A320 type rated expat with less than 500 hours on type?

Mihin Foreign Recruitment

I am not exactly sure about the foreign pilots but they have'nt specified anything as for srilankan nationals only.....if i were you i would just apply and they would give you more preference since you got A320 hours logged even though you don't have 500 on it, but its still better than the 90% who's got only a cpl/ir with 250 on piston.....

Thanks Poker,

I applied about 10 days ago, so before the cut off date for applications. Lets hope we all hear something soon. Regarding the 500 hours on type thing, Sri Lankan are recruiting quite heavily at the moment judging by all the agencies advertising for them, so I would think the higher houred pilots would be applying to that.
