DGCA ATPL Exam Requirements
What are the requirements for appearing for the DGCA ATPL exams?
Is there a mimimum time restriction for apperaing, as in, can one have a frozen ATPL?
Can one appear for the exams even if he/she doesnt have 1500 hours, pass them and be issued with atpl as and when he/she completes 1500 hrs, just like CPL.
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds
Cheers!

As per CAR Section 7B-B1, page 8:
The applicant should have Indian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with multi-engine endorsement or a minimum of 500 hours of flying experience of which
at least 200 hours should be as Pilot-in-Command in case of Defence Personnel.

you would also be needing a letter from an organization stating that you have done the ground for the ATPL . And according to the CA-9 Annex 14, either the Commanding Officer/general manager - operations/CFI shall sign the form....
Commanding officer - Would only sign it if you are from the forces.
GM- Operations - Would only sign if you are with the airline.
CFI- I don't know but i asked a lot of CFI's and they say, they cannot sign for ATPL as none of the flight schools have an approved Ground School for ATPL.
so i think the only option is that you can write ATPL only after you join an Airline. I myself have tried to find out a lot about it and even got my form rejected because there was no course completion certificate.

Remember there is no substitute for your hard work, no matter what others may say, at least I believe that.
Best of luck...

Singapore ATPL to DGCA ATPL
Dear All Aviators,
I have a valid Singapore ATPL and am looking to convert my ATPL to a DGCA ATPL, do I need to just clear the theory exams or must I also satisfy the hours requirement mentioned in the Application for ATPL ??
I am a bit confused because my case is a conversion of ATPL and not an initial issue of ATPL..
Can a humble soul answer and help me please.
Many Thanks in advance and Best Wishes !
