International Air Traffic To and From India
For the first time DGCA has published airline wise stats of International Air traffic to and from India.
Percent Age share of Indian Operators in International Air Traffic Pie
Passenger to India 24.8 %
Passenger from India 25.1 %
Freight to India 12.2 %
Freight from India 14.3 %

This is exactly where we (Indian Operators) have lost our revenue.
I am not sure how the figures are going to be affected by letting the
private Indian operations such as spice jet which have started going international.

These figures are provided to DGCA by the Airlines themselves.
I am not sure if there is a method where DGCA can keep a check if the Airlines report the correct Statistics.
Besides, It is not about more Indian Companies flying International routes.
It is about the Civil Aviation Ministry selling those routes to Indian Companies.
And so far, as demonstrated by the table, they certainly aren't doing so.

Now that the diwali season is in, I am sure airlines representatives will be queuing at DGCA office with tiny boxes of Rolexs. But when Rolex's don't help they go for information and regulation, competition only can purge the system and I am sure the competition will be fierce.
