HKE/HKA OR Yangtze River Express

Hi folks,

Ok ...this is my situation I have already been contacted by HKA/HKE
for F/O position on the 737NG, and I've also been contacted just in the
last couple of days by an agency for F/O position with Yangtze River Express (Cargo Ops.) to fly as an F/O on the 737-300.
(Hong Kong Base-As oppose to Shanghai base)...NG versus Classic!
plus from what I was told from the agency there will be a possiblity
of upgrade to the left seat on the -300 or right seat on 747-400...don't know how much of it is true!!

Now... from what I've read on HKA/HKE on pprune really gives me good heads up plus
what Jamie & Hongkongfooy have msged. me gives a wider
spectrum on what to expect...don't know much about Yangtze River Express though..!! except for being a cargo carrier!

I am trying to gather up as much info. as I can before I can make a wise
decition weather to go for either one or not to go at all!! Your
positive/negative feed back is well appreciated ..specially from the
guys/gals that are already working there..with some time under their belt
working in Hong Kong or in China.

Either feed back (negative or positive) from your experience is well
appreciated, but state the reason.

Thanx Speedbake

diablo calient,

If you read my thread carefully you would know I have already mentioned
that I 've read the thread on HKA/HKE if that is what you are referring to!!

But like I said I need some personal experiences to differentiate between
facts from bashings!! as you well know this is a roumer network...not
everything is accurate.

In regards to "OMG another one is born"... I think if you are refering to me
I would say am little bit older than you...just by your answer!! no hard feelings...cheers.

Take the job on the 734 out of HKG.

YZR has transitioned 737 CA's to the 747, with a 5 year training bond. Only local Chinese FO's have currently gone from 737 to 747 FO, no expats/contractors.

Do you really want to fly 3 legs in the middle of the night, with a 3 man crew, so you end up sitting on the jumpseat half the time?
