And everyone in aviation wants to know why the terms and conditions for professionals continue in a graveyard sprial.

You all can thank your local P2Fers for the latest trend.

mandatory reporting

well guys

if you observe these things then its your duty to report. no excuse really, the law in all the signatory country regarding this is the same. you can submit a report that is factual and just leave your name off. if you dont want to submit here to DGCA Indonesia then submit in the county you came from or who issued you your licence and let them take it over. if enough of you submit then the pressure on the INDONESIAN DGCA will be real. they will have to act and act minus the back handers and free lunches.

failure of the front seat guys to bring it to the attention of the regulators via a recognised portal will only enable the situation get worse. thats why the system is in place so use it guys and use it with sense.

might be time to go back to europe..for a while...

ok lionair european guys... who are sick of Indonesia. i think there are many... hahaha

Here is a small door you might like..to enter.. from Mr Rishworth...

Experience: Must have minimum 1000 hours B737 flight time experience.
Qualifications: JAA License with current B737-3/800 type rating.
Must have flown the type within the last 6 months.

On behalf of our European client, we are looking for expressions of interest from First Officers for B737 positions...

lion

Gentlemen, I recently received an invitation to Lion CPT 737NG. What I read in this forum was hoever a bit shocking .... I cant believe it. Can someone confirm the following:
- is the wage guaranteed?
- is there a possibilitiy to bring the permanent contract closer to a commuting?
- what kind of accomodation is provided?
- is it doable at all? (no charts, no preflight bulletin, no flight/rest time limits, etc)?
thanks

Ith… have you read the pros and cons about the Eagle Aviation/Lion Air Program? Are you aware of the work that members of our industry are against such programs as they continue to lower terms and conditions for new pilots? Are you aware that many recent entrant, after participating in such programs complain that they don’t receive respectable wages? Do you know why? Because many airlines round the world have low respect and great disdain for their employees.

Ith… go back and read every thread and every post about this subject and give it deep thought before remitting either yours or your family’s hard earned money on this or any other program of the same.

I am a few year away from hanging up my goggles. I want to see pilots, who earned their way, without any short cuts, into the cockpit, treated with the respect they deserve. Those who have and continue to pay to play will be judged appropriately by their fellow airmen as appropriate too.

You are probably too young to remember when pilots and mechanics of Eastern Airlines, a former US major carrier, went on strike in March of 1989. Eastern advertised in newspapers across the country looking for pilots. Time in type was not required. They needed to meet minimum times as prescribed by the Federal Aviation Regulations.

Many takers took the bait, names and addresses were taken by strikers as primitive as the technology was back then and spread round the US. Eastern Airlines closed its doors in February 1991 leaving many pilots on the street, and unemployed. Many of those who chose the short cut to the cockpit, to this day, are still, and deservedly so, treated with the same respect as they treated their fellow colleagues. They are lucky to find jobs flying cargo earning, guess what… $50,000 per year, if they are lucky
