Wow, how about he saving MAS?

Saw this on the AlWafeer thread in the ME forum :

[QUOTE][
My good friend Dato' Gurcharan Singh of MAS is the man to save Alwafeer; he had great experience running Jet Airways during it's inception. Don't knock this outfit if you know nothing about it's operations. The hajj season is coming soon and you will soon see a lot of Alwafeer drivers at MAS sim building.
/QUOTE]

How about getting him to come back to run MAS?

MAPA must take the lead and initiative to mount a campaign to get a Royal Commission of Inquiry into this blatant robbery of public coffers. All through those years in the 90/00s, pilots have gradually been reduced to a role of bus/taxi drivers largely because our " leaders " were a bunch of truck drivers cum garbage collectors masquerading as slick flyboys. We are no longer looked up as the beacons leading the fight against the management that treat the employees like " herds " of beasts of burden. With all the information now in the public domain, pilots as rakyats in general must rise to the occasion and help put an end to this kind of wanton corruption.

OP, you are wasting time with all these calls for MAPA action. MAPA was and still is a silent partner with the powers that be to screw the pilots. MAPA is a vehicle for the big time wannabes to sit, rub shoulders with " VIPs ", yang berhormats, the scummy datuks/tan sris and get the fifteen minutes of fame with utusan, rtm etc.

With all the bona fide documents plastered ball over the net, there is scant reaction from your brain dead countrymen. What a lost cause?!!!

**** scared?

This topic is a hot potatato...the brain dead masses in bolehland are just too **** scared to comment. This MAS debacle is a dime/toon kutty thingy and most MAS pilots are beholden to this kutty's miracles that get these undeserving lot to be flyboys. A whole bunch of useless and ballless characters; why do you think pilots' lot had deteriorated so much in recent decades. i ain't talking of money, I am talking about morale and professional authority.

Ha ha, I like the stammering potatatata....to effect! Ya, the subject is too hot to handle. That's why the whole bolehland is in catharsis, whole citizenship in paralysed fear....maybe waiting for Raja Mahdi as the Savior!
Being progressive Muslims, my ancestors taught me this....God help those who help themselves. By " helping themselves " I mean to empower oneself to accept the challenges, not helping oneself to " haram " money and goodies! MAS will be languishing, all the time waiting for gomen or Petronas bail out!

Told you so, MAS flyboys are a bunch of cojoneless " jagoh kampongs ". When I was flying for MAS in the 90s the current MAPA president was the one who shutdown a good engine merely on the recognition of a LOP light without crosschecking against other engine parameters....only in MAS we have such people not held accountable, then made instructor, then promoted ahead of seniors. The same goes for other MAS big shot pilots who undeservingly get ahead thanks to cronyism, dubious affirmative actions and big time brown nosing!

Howdy ho mate? It's jaguh kampung, not jagoh kampong...if you want to cut it deep, at least cut it right!

Aiyah, as for the engine shutdown fiasco; it's easy, he was given the benefit of the doubt. Cronyism, brown nosing...pretty standard stuff around here, what about your fellow kangaroos licking 001's ass those days to get plum training jobs and bbj postings at the expense of the locals.

MAS debacle, true but quite a touchy subject because most would be commenators don't want to get a call from SB amd MAsissy in the middle of the night and then get flung off the 14th floor of some gomen building!

Would all love to get to the bottom of all this, but I suspect your governments really love our present set up because you all can hold us to ransom; if you help overturn our present " architecture ", we might end up like the pricky S'poreans who can be quite assertive in the dealings with you " developed " nations. So you see, we have to protect our family jewels; not that we are cojonelss!

Looks like Tipsy was spelling it phonetically lah. No need to get so upset over such little thing.
The atmosphere of fear is just the thing the gomen and big companies want to maintain in order to have submissive and compliant citizens and workers.
We are robbed and raped blind by these diabolical entities. Time to really speak up, get your local politicos to agitate and help the NGOs fight the fight for the common folks.
The call for a Royal Commission of Inquiries is a good start despite the fact that nothing much will eventuate. However the authorities will be put on notice that the citizens are no docile lambs due for slaughter. Moreover we can get access to more incriminating documents.

Talked at length with an old timer at MAS about this MAS debacle. He is afraid that MAS is no longer the flavour of the month for those robbers. MAS has been exposed as a buffet wagon and the Auditor General is secretly collecting evidence to be conveniently used for those cronies who fall by the wayside. With the proposed sky high building sucking in funds, PNB will definitely seek to dig into Petronas's pockets for funding and Petronas will certainly be in no position to rescue MAS from another disaster.

MAPA is certainly a lost cause in any move to reform MAS. The ranks and file in MAS closely mirror malaysian civil service; lots of deadwood and the company is propped up only by the fact that it is the national carrier. The pilot ranks are the same with lots of undeserving people in key positions.

Nato?

There you have it, some politico trying to set the motion for action to be taken but so far nothing! So you see guys, NOTHING GETS DONE UNLESS WE HAVE CONCERTED EFFORTS FROM ALL QUARTERS.

It may be sad as most certainly the big fishes will get away or just have the wrists slapped but it will be a start and important incriminating documents will surface. The gomen will be exposed in it's effort to cover up. So I like Old Parr's suggestion; MAPA to take the lead to demand for accountability.

What to do about MAS's mess? Even roti jala condones the " negotiated " tender system favoured by toon kutty........so MAS will forever remain the buffet train.

Update on MAS debacle

Came across this to help wake up some chicken little types in bolehland......

Two Police Reports lodged against Tajuddin Ramli by MAS
I tracked Malaysia Today’s series on The Untold MAS Story: Part 1 to 10 and discovered that this is what we should already know and that is, during Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli’s time as Executive Chairman of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), the national airlines suffered losses in excess of RM8 billion, no small money by any measure. We are aware that Dr Mohamadon Abdullah and Dato’ JJ Ong of MAS had lodged two police reports alleging various breaches and fraud by Tajudin Ramli. It is known to us that the A-G Chambers had directed the police case to be NOD (No Offence Disclosed) and the file was thus closed.
PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub claimed that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) jeopardised the investigation into the RM8 billion losses suffered by MAS more than 10 years ago.

MAS initially lost Arbitration Case
We know that because of the collusion between the Police and the A-G Chambers, MAS initially lost an arbitration case in relation to MAS’s termination of a 10 years cargo handling contract with a German company called ACL GmbH (ACL) following Tajudin’s departure from MAS in 2001. ACL had insisted that MAS should perform that contract although it almost bankrupted MAS. ACL then claimed Euro 63 million (RM300 million) against MAS, although MAS claimed that the contract favoured Tajudin’s family companies. The European Arbitration Panel took a simple position. They couldn’t be bothered to help a Malaysian national company if the Malaysian authorities themselves want to cover up the case.
Dato’ Seri Idris Jala as Managing Director of MAS had sought the assistance of Dato’ Ramli Yusuff, then Director of Commercial Crimes Investigations Dept (CCID), to re-open the investigations.

We also were told that Dato’ Seri Idris Jala as Managing Director of MAS had sought the assistance of Dato’ Ramli Yusuff, then Director of Commercial Crimes Investigations Dept (CCID), to re-open the investigations. We know that Dato’ Ramli Yusuf, accompanied by Idris Jala and the MAS Board of Directors, briefed former Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi and recommended that Tajudin should be charged for various offences. And I have written before that instead of charging Tajudin Ramli, the Anti-Corruption Agency, now known as the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC), charged Dato’ Ramli and Lawyer Rosli Dahlan in 2007. So the case was closed for the second time. Idris Jala was then appointed as a government Minister, yet the case remained closed. Complicated? Not yet, read on.
Tajuddin’s Deceit
We then know that MAS managed to get new information about Tajudin’s deceit through a web of companies in order to hide his ultimate ownership. So we know that the supposedly German company called ACL GmbH is actually owned by Tajudin and this fact was presented to the European Arbitration Panel. Consequently, the European Arbitration Panel awarded a small sum of Euro 5.5 million against ACL’s claim of Euro 63 million. Despite the initial finding, the Europeans do have fair sense of justice when hard evidence were presented to them, and thus awarded ACL only a paltry sum because they too did not want Tajudin to benefit from this crooked deal.

Instead of charging Tajudin Ramli, the Anti-Corruption Agency, now known as the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC), charged Dato’ Ramli and Lawyer Rosli Dahlan in 2007.

But what happens when the same evidence are presented to our local authorities? They charge the innocent and cover up for the crook. That is what happens here in Malaysia – Bolehland, where everything is possible. So you have Dato’ Ramli Yusuff and Lawyer Rosli Dahlan being charged but Tajudin Ramli remain a free wealthy rich man until today.
It’s all a Family Affair
The Managing Director of MASKargo, Shahari Sulaiman, lodged a report with the MACC in 2009. From that report, we know that the main front-man for Tajudin is Shahidan Shafie who is the cousin and adopted brother of Rizana Daud. Tajudin appointed Rizana as the Company- Secretary of MAS in order to cover up all his tracks. Tajudin trusted Rizana because she is married to his brother, Bistamam Ramli. So, all this camouflaging is done in the family. A real web of deceit!

Oi baba, nice try attempting to elicit some kind of comment from the cojoneless MAS people and Malaysian public. Semua takut, buah pelir kecut. You surely know this malaysian malaise; rant and rave like jaguh kampung at makan and crew lounges but time to make a difference, semua kecutlah Maybe this story below about the squirrel with testicular fortitude will put some cojone back to the yellow backs. See this :

A big black and ferocious dog was about to devour a small squirrel. The end was near for the poor squirrel.
By Art Harun

Who would stand up against that dog? The squirrel's mother/friend/relative? Wouldn't the one trying to help be also devoured by the black dog?
What chance does the small squiggly squirrel have against the might of the ferocious black dog?
But the small one was not about to yield to the badness of the dog. He was not about to squirm on the tree in safety while looking at his friend/relative/baby being chewed up as dinner by the black dog.
No.
The small one was not wrapped in apathy, fear and total self-pity like some cry babies who whine and whine and whine but do nothing to protect their rights from being eroded. The small one was going to stand up and be counted. The small one was going to use whatever it has to fight. It was not going to sit idle looking at the dog devouring one of its own.
The small one was going to fight.
