Sanjay Aggarwal Quits

I'm sure it's a relief for many in Spicejet, he's turned one of the best team into a demoralized lot, breeding mistrust and following the policy of divide and rule with his cunning manipulative skills.never one who could be trusted by those under him.Reminds one of Flight Charters, USA??Couldn't have happened at a better time. The turn around of the airline was expected as is the case with any other airline in India nothing very special about his contribution. He has had the distinction of making headlines on National TV for other reasons too?? Spicejet or Sunjet has only better days to look forward to!!!

I heard the HR department associated with the old management wasn't great anyway. I think it's the pay and obviously Jet Airways/IC is a way more secure airline than Spice

@cats200 - I meant Jet Airways and Indian Airlines are a more secure company compared to Spice in terms of company closing down and other such economic related issues. Otherwise, Spice pays a lot more than Indian Airlines, at least for the batch that got selected in Mid-2007. After that, the salary cap has been reduced for F/O's. I'm guessing they're the F/O's that are planning on leaving/left Spicejet.

New Ceo

Any inputs on how this guy is, Sanjay was known for his dubious ways and for breaking down the morale, for his personal gains which he has once again proved in Spicejet.People won't miss him for a single day. May he rest in peace

If you think Sanjay was a hustler then you haven't seen anything yet with this Mills guy. His previous assignments sent shudders down my spine as I would consider him a strong purveyor of severe slashing of T and C's of pilots and employees in general.
A look at the way Easyjet recruits and trains its pilots is a sad testament to what ails this industry.

My days in this airline are numbered... but I'll hope for the best.

Spicejet new owners

Maran is very airplane smart.
He oeprates a nice long legged jet with 4 pilots. One is ex-pat and good friend of mine. Why he is still there is a mystery. All he did was deliver the Jet to India. (ATPL-A&P-TRI/TRE)
Wonder how the Spicejet pilots will like going to the office on "no-fly" days? This is what the non-scheduled guys have to do.
So much for "duty time".Their morale is all but tapped due to being "managed" by a staff of people who have no aviation background...or experience.I am hearing they plan to merge the airline guys with the corporate guys.(oil and water)
Maran will do good things for the flight/cabin crews. He has class and knows the deal. Fair and honest....rare in these parts.
