As a comparison, I have been emailed several times in the last year about an EMB-145 contract in China. The base salary is US$10,000/month + annual bonuses. As somebody else mentioned, the Vietnam airlines ATR-72 guys are making ~$8,500/month. A Dash 8 contract in Japan pays ~$9,500/month.
Those are the going rates for regional jet/turboprop contracts

China ERJ-135 salaries at now at $12K/month net + EVERYTHING paid for.
E-190 is $14, Airbus -320 is $16 and 747-400 is $22K. 747-400 was about $16K 2 years ago, but the pilot hiring situation is changing quickly.

Worked there for nearly 2 years...total Mickey Mouse operation! Maintenance and safety is non-existent (had 2 emergencies and 1 air return in a month and a half), pilots shooting approaches below minima without required visual reference, crap schedules, sub-par pay and lot of company-induced chaos, all headed by one man who has no regard for the safety of his passengers and crews and surrounds himself with sycophants.
If you want to go work for a company that is everything an airline should never be, join up! They'll take anyone with CRJ qualifications and a pulse!
