Working at Shenzhen airlines as B737NG Skipper
Folks, can any current B737NG pilots at Shenzhen give me the skinny on the schedule there? I passed everything and i am supposed to start in a week or so and just trying to find out the answers to these questions.
As a non commuter
I think we get 7 or 8 days off a month, SO what is a typical work week like and is there any chance to get some days off in a row?
How long are the typical duty days?
Are the hotels u stay at ****e?
At 11,750 a month how much can one expect to take home after finding a place, food, etc.
Lastly, what is the biggest gripes about working there? Thanks alot guys!

Thanks, i looked but no real info on the day to day type stuff. Im mostly trying to find out about how many legs per day, if u can get ur days off in a row, etc. thks

working in shenzhen airlines
I can give you some information because i have several friends working there. In shenzhen airlines, its work schedule is 4days on and 2days off.Usually you can have 8 days off each month.
For the hotels, i suggest you to choose a better hotel than recommended by shenzhen airlines .Somerset Garden City is a good hotel for your reference which cost 80Usd or so per night.
Frankly speaking,living in shenzhen is a good choice because there are many foreigner here and the price there is not very high. The expense for renting a house will cost 1000USD or so and other expenses are also not expensive. i like the environment there and it is near Hongkong.
