Any one know if they take on expats for there training acadamy ??
There is a job vacancy on the web site which i am interested in.
But do they take on expats or just hire locals only, thanks.

Air Asia Interview

Hi all,
below are the info I got:
1) Day 1:

• Introduction / Company brief / Salary & benefits
• Written exam (35 questions taken from ACE the Pilot Interview)
• CRM group exercise

2) Day 2:

• Interview: about your self & generally on your command ability. Nothing specific. Case to case base on your experience. Nothing to worry, just be yourself since the recruitment team is looking for people to fit into the AA family.

3) Day 3:

• Simulator on an A320
• For guys with Airbus FBW experience, usually single engine after V1 & the guy you're flying with will try to sabotage the flight by doing the wrong things.
• For guys with no FBW experince, just visual circuit.

Other tips:
Try to book a hotel that has access to Air Asia Academy. Only 2 hotel comes to mind since they provide shuttle service: 1) Tune LCCT Hotel & 2) Allson Klana Hotel Putra Nilai

there are others that are close to Academy:


1. concorde inn KLIA. (no transport)
2. Empress Hotel. Salak tinggi (call them, they use to have., i use to stay there when I was training with Air asia)

3. expensive.. no tranport is KLIA Pan Pacific..
