Ana Q400
Considering a street CA position in a Q400 with ANA... anyone travel down that road recently?
I am typed and furloughed with 1000+ PIC in the Q.
Looking for recent info on training, interview and schedules. I have done my homework on Parc, living in Osaka, taxes etc... but would like a recent perspective.
Thanks in advance,
Saskrider

That's nice !
I saw you are already checked on Q400... so it should not be too hard to go thru the hiring process ! Are you planing to move all the family to Osaka or you'll go with commuting ?
Still no news on my side. I will email my contact at PARC to get news.
Congrats !
Julien

Planning on repositioning all 4 in the family... after I am done training period.
Sim is Q3... I am told it flies the same as the Q4 and I shouldn't be too rusty.

August screening
Hi, am also looking into applying and would really like to hear from anyone who has been through the training process that they require.
I am not worried about doing the theory again, in fact it would be good to get my brain working again, but I was wondering what they do with the rest of the first 6 months out there?
The information I have been sent says 6 months in Tokyo converting licences, does that involve any basic flight training or is it simply theory followed by the differences training for the Q400 in the sim?
Also do people regularly fail any part of the training having been employed? I would hate to leave a job in the UK only to return 2 months later to beg for it back.
Thanks in advance
Chris

Interviews?
Hi, anyone go to the interviews this last weekend?
My application is going in for the August set and would like any feedback available?
Am on the 300 at the moment, what is the sim check in? profile?
How many people were interviewed/got through?
Is the recruitment continuing indefinitely?
Thanks
Chris

I did this about a year ago. The sim is in a 300. They give you a packet detailing exactly how they want you to do the sim ride and they mean exactly. this will be give out about a month ahead of time.I went with crew and they were great in answering any questions and getting me all the info i would need for the interview as well as helping me convert my logbook over to the japanese one. The hardest part in my opinion. When i interviewed there was 8 of us only two made it to the medical and only one made it past that. That I know of. I washed out in the medical due to irregular heart beat at rest. I would have liked to go their but it was not my fate.
