The code-shared flights are not banned ..

Life will go on in the 7101 Islands .. and if you can't fly West, Fly East .. the Eastern Skies - all the way to West Coast - are friendlier ... and are in the know about the actual cause of the EU Ban ..

A few EU carriers will be more than happy, and so will some Middle Eastern carriers .. not that they worried much with PR's West-ward expansion plans ..

Philippine Regulator UNSAFE/Dangerous and CORRUPT!

This new restriction is a continuation of pressure for the Philippines to clean up their act. Is that at all possible? To change? Hmmmmm
Is this fair? YES! Is it safe to fly with Philippine Carriers? The FAA doesn't seem to think so and neither do the 26 European countries according to EU Transport Commissioner Siim Kallas. He said in a statement today in Brussels “We cannot accept that airlines fly into the EU if they do not fully comply with international safety standards,”.

Fully comply with INTERNATIONAL SAFETY STANDARDS????? I thought all the pork barrel was paid na! Why doesn't this go away? We have more important things like the up coming presidential election soon.

To the average Filipino this doesn't make much difference. But to Lucio this is a kick in the balls! I won't be surprised if this is the beginning of the end for Papa Lucio in Aviation.

International Safety Standards = in my opinion, IOSA - Google it...

Regulators demand it (many have it as a stipulation for AOC - with more stating it every week) ... no IATA membership without it, and rumours of wet lease operators operating for IATA member airlines required to meet the standard in future...

Times are changing!

just an idle observation .. why would LT kill his own money spinner ?

The last I heard, they were leveraging so much on PR's revenue .. and they get a lot of 'benefits' from various govt head honchos ..

Just a curious question ..
