Here's the deal: To be FO you need 1000 hrs PIC in a jet ac above 20000KG, 500 PIC on B747 classic & current on type. All for USD 5200 before tax in Singapore? Is this for real?

Oh yes good old shogun with the exploded engine. Makes a good photo while waiting in line to take off.

I remember a couple years back before the downturn, they were hiring FOs with a fresh cpl out of flying school. 250 hours in a light A/C, jumping straight into a 747! Now thats amazing.

Yup every airline do it - just some do it alot "better " than others - almost like a competition between them to see who can come up with the most diabolical low paying, training grabbing contracts.

More likely they have found some money to buy an engine to put onto the wing so now they have 4 !
Now they need someone to fly it

With regard to the B742 parked next to the Budget Terminal, missing all four engines and listing to the right, HIGHLY UNLIKELY!!!

I'll be honest no idea.

There is a 744 white tail parked at the other end of Changi, but Jett8 never did PAX flights.

Saw a Jett8 freighter parked near that white tail the other day. One that actually had engines.

But to answer your question: dunno.

WTFO? First they start recruitment for only "current" B742 drivers, due to CAAS requirements, now they're all on unpaid leave through May..... what gives here?
