To all those wishing to join Tiger.. dont listen too much to these posts! The majority of us here at Tiger are happy with our jobs.. good flying, new aircraft and good roster..

How would you know? You've only ever worked for Tiger.

Regarding my previous comments regarding a certain individual whom I shall not mention again (Fear of another pprune banning for speaking the truth), I stand firmly behind my comments and opinions of that retched, worthless POS!

I will be in the left seat well before you ever will u absolute '****'..
Been in left seat over 25 years sonny boy. I see you're from Dublin. There's another person being discussed in this forum who's also from Dublin. You related? Most probably you "...absolute '****'..."!

Narrow minded lot you all are. What makes you think that I 'm a current Tiger slave? Mr. "D" been insulting and pi$$ing fellows off since he left the school house and became what he believes is a pilot.

I could be this 10,000 hour "Nam" fellow. Or, I could be ... Peter...John...Mike...Charles...Marty...Colin...or any number of other folks from the very long list that have had to endure Mr. "D's" horrid existence in the aviation community.

Carefully boys...

....On Monday the airline removed a young, newly-qualified pilot, Cliona Duggan, alleging insubordination. She is a daughter of Ryanair's chief pilot Jim Duggan.
It is understood Ms Duggan had complained about what she felt was inappropriate behaviour by a colleague on a flight and had indicated that she did not wish to share rosters with that pilot in future...

Any clue on how to reach these people..
From what Ive read you either have to be a retched little dyke or full-on tail-gunner.

Ken O...., is that you matey? After the ass-whoopin you took from that Kiwi at Nam air, I'm surprised that you'd want to be anywhere near Asia again...pussy.

and I get the impression my resume goes in the round file
and if you're who I think you are, that's just where it belongs.

Starskate, if you are Australian, why don't you try Tiger Australia. They need pilots.

I was under the impression that converting an FAA ATPL to CASA only involves taking several subjects. The preparation for these can be done over a weekend. I think that there are a few pilots with Tiger Australia who were hired on the basis of their foreign ATPL's. It might pay to contact the HR department and request that Captain Ken Broomhead or Captain Hugh Scott review your needs.

That is what one would need to do to convert a licence to FAA (apart from a medical as well as verification of documents and hours). Pretty straight forward really and has been done in not much more than a few days.
What's the problem or should I say...is there a problem?
You know, some countries may not accept your FAA ATPL and only issue a CPL if you don't meet their min requirements. This would require you to complete all of their ATPL examinations prior to upgrading.
In the UK it is 16 exams, several in Singapore and Germany

The flight school in Australia I was in contact with told me I would have to do IR, CPL training written test and flights, as well as an ATPL Written , I can't say i could do that in one weekend .
You only need to to do the Air Law exams mate, both CPL and ATPL Air Law, as well as IREX. You then need to to pass the Multi-engine instrument rating flight test (or as the yanks call it, "checkride"). That's all there is to it. It's a lot easier than converting to other authorities ATPLs.

Here it is in black and white from the CASA website;

Civil Aviation Safety Authority - Overseas Licence Conversion Examinations

And Jetstar Australia is also recruiting (or as the yanks call it, "hiring").

CAAS will not recognise an ATPL if you have not flown more than twenty hours in an aircraft of sixty tonnes or more within the last six months. At least that is what it was about six years ago. Otherwise it is a verification on logbook hours (make sure the last page is stamped by your last chief pilot or issuing authority), medical, air law and type exam. Again, this was the case six years ago.

Good luck

Was reading today that the Pope - Benedict XVI - a German, apologized for the abusive behavior and immoral actions of his Irish staff.

When will the English - specifically Tony Davis - apologize for the abuses and immoraties of his Irish staff?

Anyone got pay scale at Tiger. ? First year FO, etc etc. ?
It won't matter much. Unless you're completely daft, you should have seen by now that they will cut your pay when they feel it fit. The lads just took a 20% pay reduction all because mister JD and his band of homo looser managers felt like once again screwing the pilots.

To be fair about it, some of those pilots deserve a pay cut.

"things go better with Coke." Yea, I heard that somewhere.

wondering what the Junior base is for now
Base? Let's see, we're in Singapore....soooo, I'd bet my left nut that you'd be based in S I N G A P O R E.

Salary. Roughly 6000 SGD per month plus flight pay around 50 -60 SGD per hour, minus meals, water, café, uniforms, wings, epaulets, and an additional 20% off the top just for fun. All of which, is taxed!

with all due respect to your opinions
Sonny, I don't even respect my opinions half the time. I just like telling it how it is! One things guaranteed here matey, I won't be bull****ting anyone.
