CReW ANA group

Hi,

new to pprune...

I've recently completed the CReW app.. had a few problems with my flight times adding up correctly. The next day I received an e-mail requesting clarification. Luckily it only took a few hours to go back about 12 years and get everything straightened out. Also I had to scan and e-mail a copy of my last 3 pages of my logbook. Hopefully everything turns out ok.

Has anybody else had to do this?

The e-mail stated that if completed correctly I would be placed in an interview pool.. Does this mean I've passed the preliminary stage of having enough experience? (6100TT, @5000jet, little PIC, former regional airline, now at a major US fractional.)

Also what are the next steps in the process. I assume if I'm offered an interview they send a packet out of what to expect. How quickly is the pool of interviewees going? I've read most of the threads here, but haven't run across the amount of hiring going on.

Any info about the usual stuff like class size, dates, pros/cons etc would be awesome.

Thanks

there is a 30+ page thread at the top of the page that answers all of your questions, and then some. It is a long read but is full of info.

I would say 75% of the applicants had the same problem as you. JCAB is very thorough about the flight hours, I am talking about down to the minutes.

JCAB found a few irregularities in some JAL log books more than a year ago, they then cracked down on log books.
ANA are making sure the log books are on the level before they front the CAB. They do have a strange way of breaking down flight times, such as cross country etc.

In line with what crj705 said, it is full of valuable info and worth reading for the fact that it's not full of angry employees slagging off their company. Au contraire.

But first, a warning: seriously, dude, grab a couple of 6-packs of (non American!) beer, and a carton of sigarrets if you smoke, a few cans of baked beans, and a sleeping bag and pillow, because you could be there for days. It's a fast moving thread too!

And the reward for you is, that if you read all 79 243 or so posts, you'll 'get' my comments on the type of beer and cigarettes.

Buddy in my group had to resubmit his times for a 17 minute discrepancy having a TT of over 7K! They are VERY serious about this, but it seems to always work out in the end.
