Air India AI-829 Engine fire incident

Just saw this on the news ...
An engine of the B747-400 caught fire while taxiing.

Also came across this ...

Anybody here has any more inside news regarding this incident with details ??

Here's a mobile video capture of the engine caught in a blaze posted on the same website... they are now suspecting a fuel leak....

phasing out

I guess Air India was already on the lines of phasing out all 747's this particular incident will now only speed up the phase out ..... its time to bid farewell to the Jumbo

these 744s need to go ASAP....are on long term lease and a loss making a/c for AI...

AI's issues are far bigger than an engine fire..

Fire in one engine can be handled. But fire in a whole organisation??????????
