Got an e-mail from a friend saying they are hiring and sent me a link to their website. Anyone have any info on the operation. One of the posts above indicated they were looking for A330 jockies; but, I saw nothing to indicate that. Last update on the website was March 09 (last one on their news page was Aug 08 and they was stopping scheduled service), saying they were looking at new "service". I'm a furloughed 742 FO and this might be a good gig - if it's for real.

Aircraft just sits on the ground in Changi, rarely moves. Rumours of sending it to the desert for storage. Unless news breaks of a major ramp up in operations you're better off looking else where.

They have no qualified pilots because the package is so weak. Housing in Singapore is very expensive, so are private schools and automobiles. If you took the offer you would also be paying tax on the salary. Do the sums, it is not a hard decision, even considering the economics at the moment.

Have been there, done that. All Chinese, will force you to live the Chinese way of life, have to help yourself , no mercy. And with that kind of money, you have to be a student without any obligations.

Need rating + converting to Sin licence, a couple of exams, like HPL,PERFORMANCE A, SIN AIR LAW. But if you already have it, still need rating! May do that in US for around 10.000.
