KAL contractors

Hi AFD,

if you plan coming to KAL I would suggest CCL ( www.cclaviation.com) or GAP ( www.gapaviation.com )
They have the best reputation among pilots here.
Roster is stable, you can bid for your off days every month and normally you will get them as requested ( 9 clear days/month + 2 days/month annual leave).
Off days start the day after you arrive at your base and duty starts the day after your last off day, you can choose any airport KAL serves more than twice a week.
Mostly short haul within Asia but if you live in Europe or Australia you have a good chance to get an additional trip home, just check the KAL website where the 330 flies to.
But keep in mind that there is still no upgrade policy established for foreign F/O's so better count on it that it ever happens.

Good luck!

is it a good option this commuting contract from korean air?
the question is to that pilot now flying for korean air?
what about the cockpit enviroment?
does the expats pilot flyes only with other expat or could they be coupled to korean one?

what is the work load judgement of the expat pilot overthere?
thanks

I'm afraid that KAL's requirements regarding English proficiency (for expats) may be higher than what some people have shown in this thread.
