flying in philippines ?

Question flying in philippines ?

i would like to know if i can fly in philippines with a commercial multi ifr canasdian licence?
which kind of licence the philippines aviation require there?
is it possible to buy a block of hours?
if i can fly there with a american licence too?
is it possible to find a pilot place there with approx. 350 flight hours?
thanx to answer me as soon as possible.
it will be great if i can get a contact with a filippino pilot,thanx a lot and see u soon.

It's a bit of a "closed market" to non Filipinos especially for low timers think it's no problem to rent aircraft though..the P.I. CAA is based in part on the FAA (USA) system..

Question

Why are you planning to live here dc3? A lot of my colleagues are leaving for US, NZ and Canada. These guys have at least 2k jet time. Gen-Av is pretty much the same world wide. You'd have to shine shoes and spend a lot on booze money to get a flight.
