Question B727 operation in Indonesia...

Just wondering if anyone had info on a B727-200 operation from Northern Indonesia, Medan to be precise.

Cheers

Had more than a few good times in Indo. Must say that I prefer CGK to MES.

Have heard rumours of a DC-10 freighter operation out of Soekarno. Seems like there are a lot of things happening in the old archipelago.

The 727 is PK-JGT of Jatayu Air.. .Crew is American.. .Leased ACMI from an AirSmith of USA.. .Jatayu is owned by Tropik Tour of Medan.. .It also has an idle 732 on ACMI, not sure of the source.

This airline has been bankrupt twice, it already changed owners twice since last year.

JJ, what's the scoop ?. .Techman, there's a 732 ops out of Soekarno, RPX Air (FedEx Indonesia) but their timetable is less predictable than the rain over here! And yes, so many things happening here, but only 10% came true, but something new every day...

JJflyer would be an apt handle to have in Jakarta, although JJ's isn't what is used to be.. .But then you can always find some entertainment next door.

Lost in Indonesia,

Would you be able to send me the contacts for 727s, either Air Smith or Jatayu Air (or Tropik Tour).

Email: [email protected]

Thanks, CJ

Red face

Sounds like you're pumping squillions into this outfit, 411A - DC10's and 727's. . .Nothing quite like a "mix" (as you put it) to keep the mechanics on their toes! Then again, that's a pilot's job - having a working knowledge of MEL's, isn't it 411.!!

Or is it an aircraft MUSEUM you're setting up?

Never said anything 'bout DC-10's, Kaptin M, but then again, you never know. At least we are having a good time, keeping all of our ducks in a row.. .Hey Rube...pass a cold Kloster
