Sorry pal, the only company that will hire expats here is Orient Thai. Unless you have a 747 Classic or L-1011 type you need not apply. THAI, BKK Air, Phuket Air, Air Andaman, PB Air, Thai Flying Services etc, will only hire local pilots. There have been a few cases where they will hire expats for a short term contract. But again you must be typed and some sort of instructor. No low time expats here. Sorry. Good Luck. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Flame out,

are you absolutely sure with this ?
Have you been to Thailand ?
Do you really think that I'm low time ? I'm a flight instructor as well, don't you think I'll get some kind of a job down there. If not Thailand, would you know some other country down there with good flying ?

Unfortunately Flame Out is quite right. 1800 hours and 200 multi with no transport category aircaft experience is in the lower end of the food chain. I have been to Thailand about 30 odd times and thats the situation. No National airline will hire you if you are not typed with time in type and preferably with instructional experience on that type. Now we are talking about pilots in the +5000 to 10000 hour category.

Flame Out and JJflyer are absolutely right Freightdog95. I have been in your shoes a long time ago, fortunately, I had the opportunity to move on to a much much bigger and heavier plane. If I'm not mistaken, Thailand has a labour law that prohibits hiring foreign pilots, unless those position can not be filled by the local guys, then it's O.K. Try some other countires in the region like Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam. Hopefully something migh come up. Good luck!

Lightbulb

And if you can't get a flying job there, make do with some Thai thigh at Pat Pong! Mecca of pleasure.
