Post WMSA/SZB Will Be Closed Down ???

Heard that this historical airport in M'sian Aviation history will be closed down this year due to poor traffic at KLIA. Sad to hear if this is true. Anyone can confirm about this news?

Although no announcement is made, SZB is expected to close down because;

1. YTL, a PM favourite company has invested (and made) billions in the ERL (Express Rail Link) and planned to float off ERL in KLSE almost immediately. Ghost trains won't look good to investors and PM can't let YTL down.

2. Air Asia will be successful at SZB and draw customers from Mas. PM won't like Mas to loss more money. On the basis to compete on equal ground, AK will be moved to KLIA.

3. Convenient, cheaper and efficient transportation system is never a top priority in present adminstration.

Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

Cont'd from above...

4) So that more poeple whom only need to travel domestically to KL will now throw their savings on AK's very cheap domestic fare by rewarding YTL thru ERL very expensive fare and waste more time dragging their bag downstairs and then queing up for taxis at KL Sentral.

Lets see what Berjaya Air got to say about flying in and out of KLIA. Being another of PM's favourites, probably..".Yes Mr. Prime Minister.."

Godness, I never imagine that this is gonna happen !!! One thing for sure, the present govt already lost my vote in 2004!!! Lets see what "Maxis Tycoon" is gonna say about this as he is believed to be the man who financed the AK take-over.

*BOLEHLAND boleh*....... <img src="mad.gif" border="0">

The only viable domestic route is through Subang. Period.

Only donkey heads will want it shifted to Sepang.
