Looks like TG will pick up the 3x B77W from Jet...
Jet to lease three Boeing aircraft to Thai Airways
I suppose TG have demand for leasing aircraft? or perhaps it is to do with planned maintenance on their own 777 fleet?

I've tried numerous dates from May onwards from Brisbane to London Return. Economy and Business. This is the same line that always comes up
"No fares found for the passenger type requested. Please search a different passenger type"
So either all classes are chockers for months or somethings afoot

Yaw String, I did chek the correct web site.
It seems it was down for almost a week while they do schedule changes.
Happy to pay you 10% but it seems it won't be on the NZ sector any more.

Dont see much of rba on these pages lately, perhaps a good sign ?? Things on the up
A 777 arrival must be imminent, with 767 leases expiring, last I heard was one 763 currently stored at DUB ?
They have an order for 787s, no? I see Shanghai is a returning destination also.

RBA has cancelled there 777 order with Boeing, no new airplanes coming. 787 looking to be cancelled as well. I believe that the long haul will stop operating when they have to give back the 777's to Singapore.

Not official
Hummm. Got to be a bit careful when announcing stuff about orders on and off just in case people start believing them. PPRuNe is exactly that, a rumour.
Just looking at the date of this original thread. Is this a record????

Good luck boys!!
Anyone can fill an aircraft, its managing the yield is the secret. As always the workers suffer for completely incompetent management.
A sad day as we watch the demise of what could have been a great Airline.

Sadly its not a rumour
MEMO
STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL
To: All Employees
From: Dermot Mannion, Deputy Chairman
Subject: Route Suspension and Stabilisation Plan
Dear Colleagues,
With the help of all our staff over the last 37 years, Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) has provided high-quality, competitively priced flights to destinations in Southeast Asia and around the globe. RBA has enjoyed many successes, provided countless passengers with safe and comfortable transportation, and continues to be recognized as a quality provider of air travel.
However, as we have grown from a regionally-focused airline to a long-haul provider, the market around us and the global economy have both changed in significant ways.
In that context, our Board has recently instructed that an extensive review of our business model and strategy be undertaken to position the airline onto a sustainable platform for the future. Arising from that review and with these goals in mind, we have now had to take the very difficult decision to suspend service to Kuching effective after 28 July 2011 as well as to Brisbane, Perth, Auckland, and Saigon, effective 30 October 2011.
With this first step, we hope to begin the process of creating a sustainable future for the airline and all of our stakeholders. We recognize this is a time of uncertainty for all of our staff and for that reason we will endeavour to be as open and transparent as possible at each stage of the process to ensure you are kept fully informed of developments.
Along the way, I have no doubt we will face many challenges. However, I am confident that we can succeed in this endeavour with your continued support, patience and commitment to safety and customer service.
